The flat insert is relatively convenient to adjust and easy to manufacture, but the insert is thin, and it is only stressed at a few points in contact with the screw, which is easy to deform and has low rigidity. The adjustment method is to use the adjusting screw to drive the insert to move longitudinally to adjust the gap. The groove mouth on the strip is processed after scraping and matching. This method is very simple, but the gap between the screw head shoulder and the groove on the strip will cause the strip to move in motion. The adjustment method is to adjust with screws 5 from both ends, avoiding the movement of the insert, and the performance is better. Another method is to adjust the insert by screws and nuts, and the round holes on the insert are processed after scraping and matching. This method is convenient to adjust and can prevent the movement of the insert. The only disadvantage is that the longitudinal dimension is slightly longer.
second, pressing plate
pressing plate is used to adjust the clearance of auxiliary linear guide rail surface and bears overturning moment. Structure is the use of grinding or scraping plate surface to adjust the gap. The face of the pressure plate is separated by an empty knife slot. When the gap is large, the surface is ground or scraped; when the gap is too small, the surface is ground or scraped. This method has a simple structure and many applications, but it is more troublesome to adjust. It is suitable for occasions where the accuracy is not often adjusted, the wear resistance of the linear guide is good, or the gap has little effect on the accuracy. The gap can also be adjusted by changing the thickness of the spacer between the pressure plate and the joint surface. The gasket is made up of many thin copper sheets stacked together, one side is soldered, and the adjustment is increased or decreased as needed. This method is much more convenient than scraping or grinding the pressure plate, because the amount of adjustment is limited by the thickness of the gasket, so the contact stiffness of the joint surface is reduced.
